Major investments
More than EUR 53 million  has been invested in new, large, themed rides since 2008. As a result, Djurs Sommerland has presented Danish and foreign families with 27 new rides over the last 8 years. This strategy has resulted in a record growth in visitor numbers. National and international recognition

Djurs Sommerland reaps major recognition at an international level.

Furthermore the roller coaster Piraten has been voted as the world's fifth or sixth best roller coaster on several occasions.

Established in 1981
Djurs Sommerland was established in 1981 by Ole B. Nielsen and Børge Godsk. Today the amusement park is owned and runed by the brothers Henrik B. Nielsen and Michael B. Nielsen, the sons of one of the park's founders.
